Almost anyone who wants to can participate. In particular, in addition to current students and faculty at Harvey Mudd and Rose-Hulman, alumni of either college, friends of students, and students at other colleges (in particular other Claremont colleges for the Mudd teams) are welcome to join teams. The only requirement is that at least one member of your team be a student or faculty member at Harvey Mudd or Rose-Hulman.

In order to sign up a team, you need to email the following things to Brian Rice (first initial + last name + (at) + hmc.edu):
1. A team name.
2. Which school your team is affiliated with.
3. A name, email address, and phone number for a Harvey Mudd or Rose-Hulman student or faculty member who will be the contact person for the team. (If none of your team members who are Harvey Mudd or Rose-Hulman students or faculty have cell phones, you can give the phone number of someone else on the team; just indicate this.)
4. A list of names and email addresses for the other team members who want to receive emailed information as the hunt approaches and during the hunt.

Make sure your email is titled "Puzzle Hunt Sign Up" or something equally recognizable. I will reply to you confirming your email and add you to the list of registered teams as time permits.

Of course the very best way to find a team is to ask your friends if they want to be on a team with you. But if this does not work, all is not lost! If you are looking for a team, send me (Brian Rice) an email titled "Puzzle Hunt -- Looking for Team" with your name, email address, and location, and I will put you on a list on this very page so that other team-seekers can find you. Once you find a team, please send me an email titled "Puzzle Hunt -- Team Found" so that I can take you off the list.

Note that if you want to join an already-registered team, you need only to clear it with the current team members. You only need to send me an email if you want to get information emailed to you as the hunt approaches.

If you want to change the contact person or contact information for a team that has been already registered, please send me an email. Similarly, if a team is disbanding for any reason, send me an email so I can remove it from my records and this web page.
