Laminar Flow

The laminar flow tank illustrates a reversible process in fluid dynamics. A drop of dye is placed in a viscous fluid occupying the space between concenttric cylinders. The inner cylinder is rotated (clockwise) until the drop of dye dissapears. Then the cylinder is rotated the same amount counterclockwise and the drop reappears, back in the same shape!
