Subject New Norman F. Sprague Jr. Professor in Life Sciences

Dear Faculty,

I am pleased to announce that Professor Lisette dePillis has been named the Norman F. Sprague Jr. Professor in Life Sciences at HMC

The Sprague Professorship honors a faculty member who has contributed to interdisciplinary work at the college in important ways, and recognizes a faculty member outside of the department of biology who has significant linkages to the department of biology. The previous Sprague Professor was Sam Tanenbaum.

Lisette has been instrumental in developing and supporting the Mathematical Biology program here at HMC. She is co-director of the Keck Center for Quantitative Life Sciences and among her research areas are cancer modeling and cancer immunotherapy modeling. She is beginning her 15th year at the college and I am excited to honor her with the Sprague Professorship.

Please join me in congratulating Lisette for her outstanding work and commitment to the college.
